Call for Volunteers: Join Team DocedgeKolkata!

Documentary Resource Initiative is looking for passionate volunteers to join the team for the 22nd edition of DocedgeKolkata.

DocedgeKolkata, Asian Forum for Documentary, is an annual documentary incubation-cum-pitching forum for Indian and Asian documentary filmmakers. The forum is dedicated to the intensive development of creative storytelling skills and the creation of international co-production opportunities.

We are excited to announce a Call for Volunteers to help make the upcoming edition a success! Whether you're a creative designer, an expert in photography or videography, or someone who excels in event and logistical support, join our team to share your expertise.

Volunteer Roles & Requirements:

1. Design (Canva/Photoshop)

• Description: Help create stunning visuals, including posters, banners, flyers, and social media graphics.
• Requirements:
  • Proficiency in Canva or s Photoshop.
  • Own laptop is required.

2. Capture high-quality photos and videos of the event, from key moments and candid shots to behind-the-scenes footage.

• Requirements:
  • Own DSLR camera/ lenses and tripod required.
  • Experience in event photography or videography is a plus.

3.Travel & Hospitality

• Description: Manage logistics related to transportation, airport pickups, and hospitality for guests coming from all across the globe.
• Requirements:
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to handle logistics smoothly and efficiently.

4.Event Management

• Description: Assist in the seamless execution of event activities, including setting up, coordinating schedules, and managing onsite tasks.
• Requirements:
  • Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in event coordination or willingness to learn.

5.Technical Management

• Description: Oversee the technical aspects of the event, including AV setups, sound, and lighting.
• Requirements:
  • Basic knowledge of event technology.
  • Ability to troubleshoot technical issues on the fly.

6.Content Writing

• Description: : Help craft engaging content for website, newsletters and social media channels.
• Requirements:
  • Strong writing skills.
  • Own laptop required.
