Sudeshna Bose | Head, Incubation & Training
Apart from designing training modules, Sudeshna is also engaged in tutoring at workshops and skill development activities. She is responsible for DRI’s training and incubation programmes like Documentor, Letsdoc etc. and year-round activities for young filmmakers and conducting labs during DocedgeKolkata, Asian Forum for Documentary.
Diksha Sharma | Head, Industry & Exchange
Filmmaker and editor by profession, Diksha Sharma is a Postgraduate in Film Editing from Satyajit Ray Film and Television Institute. She looks after collaboration, partnership, and academic exchange programmes of Documentary Resource Initiative with national and international institutes. She is responsible for designing creative modules of industry events extending DRI's footprints with other international markets and forums. She also designs industry events of DocedgeKolkata, Asian Forum for Documentary.
Subhadeep Ghosh | Technical Head & Chief Lab Coordinator Editcamp
He is the Technical Head and in charge of applications of various incubation programmes of DRI and responsible for LightSchool content editing and Chief Coordinator of the Editcamp, Editors' Skill Lab.
Apurba Kumar Banerjee | Accounts Officer
Apurba is a BCom Honours graduate from St. Xavier's College, Kolkata. With his extensive experience in handling accounts and audits, he is responsible for Accounts Finalisation: consolidation, closure and statutory audit of annual accounts and filing of the required statutory returns with all the government authorities under the guidance of the Treasurer.
Anandashankha Dasgupta| Associate Admin
Ananda completed his graduation with a bachelor degree in Commerce. At Documentary Resource Initiative he is responsible for day-to-day office admin and related works. He also looks after ground level logistic documentation during workshop activities. He has over ten years of experience in the departments of sales and administration.
Joyshankha Dasgupta | Associate Accounts
Graduated with a bachelor degree in Commerce, Joyshankha Dasgupta is a theatre activist and serves DRI as an Associate in the Accounts department keeping records of all accounts/finance issues and ground-level expenditure documentation. Previously he has worked in fields like sales tax clearance, waybill department in pharmaceutical company as depot manager.
Jayeeta Chatterjee | Coordinator Programming and Social Media
With a degree of Masters in Journalism & Mass Communication Jayeeta specializes in areas like Print Publication, New Media and Corporate Communication. She has served in the media industry as a feature writer, reporter and content curator for more than five years at media houses like The Times of India and Hindustan Times. She looks after Programme related communications of DRI and its Social Media cell. She is also responsible for coordinating year-round programmes in close association with Head, Incubation and Training and Head, Industry and Exchange.
Swagata Dey | Programme Logistics Associate
A student of Masters in Mass Communication and Journalism Swagata has a diverse media experience including Visual Designing, Event Management, HR, Presentation and Anchoring. Previously she has worked in account servicing and CSR divisions of both private and government sectors as an intern. Swagata speaks six languages including intermediate French and Spanish. Apart from supporting the programme team she takes care of Guest coordination and hospitality for DRI’s programmes. Swagata also moderates and anchors various sessions during the events.
Sunayan Roy | Design and Creatives
Sunayan is a designer and artist working for almost thirty years with an incredible range of contribution to Set-designing, Product-advertising, exhibition fabrication, corporate campaigns and alternative mode of publications. He is responsible for all DRI’s designs, creatives and artwork for digital dissemination.

Professor Nilotpal Majumdar | President
A Postgraduate from Film & Television Institute of India, Pune with a specialisation in Editing, Nilotpal Majumdar created documentary and fiction as director, cinematographer and editor. He guides, leads and envisions future programmes of Documentary Resource Initiative, that directly benefit actuality storytellers within India and across the borders. He has also served as the Dean of Satyajit Ray Film & Television Institute, Kolkata and presently is the Director of Manipur State Film and Television Institute.
Pranabranjan Ray | Vice President
Nationally renowned art critic, curator and art historian Pranabranjan Ray has been responsible to nurture many young talents, artists and sculptors, and put them into national and international platforms to excel further with their forms of art. He was the subject expert and scriptwriter of the Folk art of India, a 26-episode series directed by Buddhadeb Dasgupta and commissioned by Doordarshan.
Ishani Majumdar | Secretary
A graduate from Calcutta University, Ishani was associated with the art and craft design promotion, publication industry and she has also produced a few documentaries. She is the Secretary, the Chief functionary of Documentary Resource Initiative looking after the day-to-day administration and project implementation. She is also responsible for communications with grant-makers, monitoring and submission of annual activities reports including reporting of FCRA related issues.
Tirthankar Dasgupta | Assistant Secretary
A theatre activist, filmmaker and musician, Tirthankar's latest film has been honoured with a national award. With substantial experience in the banking industry, Dasgupta is responsible for financial aspects, budgeting including timely submission of Income Tax Return in regular consultation with designated Chartered Accountant and Accounts Officer of Documentary Resource Initiative.
Sudeshna Bose | Member
Postgraduate in Direction & Screenplay Writing from Satyajit Ray Film and Television Institute. Sudeshna has been directing documentary, fiction and social awareness campaigns and also engaged in tutoring at DRI workshops. She is responsible for the training and incubation programme at DRI. Sudeshna is now pursuing her Masters in Reading University, UK.
Subhadeep Ghosh | Treasurer
A B.Tech Computer Science graduate, Subhadeep completed his postgraduate studies in Film Editing from Satyajit Ray Film and Television Institute (SRFTI). He has produced, directed, shot and edited several documentary & short fictions both for national as well as the international audience and has been professionally engaged as an editor regularly. He is passionate about teaching and had been engaged earlier with Film and Television Institute of India (FTII), Pune, for more than 31/2 years as a faculty both in its Film and Television wing and continues to teach digital filmmaking to young aspirants from time to time. At DRI, he looks after Technology applications and content editing.
Haobam Ronen | Member
A filmmaker and researcher Ronen started his career as an associate to ace Manipuri filmmaker Aribam Syam Sharma and made a mark as an independent documentary filmmaker honoured with National and State Film awards. He has been proactively engaged with theatre activism and a member Kalakshetra Manipur, Imphal created legendary Heisnam Kanhailal. Ronen served as a juror in National Awards, Indian Panorama, IFFI and Manipur State Film Awards. He actively advises Documentary Resource Initiative on reaching out to Northeast states of India for skill development and professional exchange programmes.
Debanjan Bandyopadhyay | Member
Postgraduate in Film Editing from Satyajit Ray Film and Television Institute Debanjan is a photographer and professionally engaged as an editor. He is now teaching as an Associate Professor at Amity University, Kolkata and heading its Department of Film and Television programme.
