We identify young talents and inculcate in them the skills and soul of impactful storytelling. The fellowship is a journey through an incubation lab that supports early-career filmmakers working on their first documentary feature through immersive mentorship, enabling them to develop their ideas into impactful stories.

Through three progressive sessions, filmmakers participate in skill-building labs and intensive mentorship to develop their stories more effectively, with engaging visual treatments and artistic approaches.

Twelve finalist filmmakers are invited to participate in one virtual and two in-person residencies in Kolkata as part of the story development lab. The programme includes mentorship, curated screenings, and interactive sessions from November 2026 to January 2027.
