Anna Parker is the Marketplace Manager at the Sheffield Doc/Fest. Parker manages the marketplace at Doc/Fest including the flagship match made market event, the MeetMarket and interactive sister market The Crossover Market. She also runs all other marketplace activities at Sheffield Doc/Fest, including public pitches, industry meetings, matchmaking and mentoring sessions, and coordinates on year-round training workshops. Anna trained and worked as a journalist, then in documentary film distribution before joining the Sheffield Doc/Fest marketplace. Sheffield Doc/Fest, short for Sheffield International Documentary Festival (SIDF), is an international documentary and digital media festival film festival, industry conference and a major international marketplace, held annually in Sheffield. Established in 1994, Doc/Fest has become the UK's biggest documentary festival. The festival includes screenings, an industry conference, a marketplace for the funding and distribution of films, and its own awards. It covers digital and interactive projects as well as film.
