Zhao Qi is a commissioning editor and documentary filmmaker in Beijing. He worked in CCTV as a director and producer for 8 years and as commissioning editor for 9 years, covering stories in social, political, arts and culture and environmental issues in over 500 television documentaries.

Zhao Qi also works intensively on independent documentaries. He is the Chinese producer for the feature documentary Last Train Home and China Heavy Weight. His directorial feature Fallen City follow the aftermath struggle of 3 surviving families from the Sichuan Earthquake in 2008 and was officially selected by IDFA and Sundance Festivals.
