Paul has been wandering the documentary landscape for many years in various roles: producer, commissioning editor, media school director, director of the European Documentary Network, mentor and tutor for numerous international workshops and institutions.

Retired for three years, he has been unable to enjoy his pension and—much to the relief of his spouse—still keeps himself available for documentary workers who believe his ageing brain might still offer some useful advice.
