Salomé Jashi Salomé Jashi Filmmaker and Producer | Georgia

Chairperson and co-founder of the Documentary Association Georgia (DOCA Georgia) Salomé Jashi is the recipient of the Berlin Art Prize (2024) and the European Cultural Award KAIROS Prize (2024).

Her works Taming the Garden (2021) premiered at Sundance Film Festival's World Cinema Documentary Competition and Berlinale Forum and was nominated for the European Film Award, The Dazzling Light of Sunset (2016) was awarded at Visions du Réel and Bakhmaro (2011) was nominated for the Asia Pacific Screen Awards. She also produced How the Room Felt (2021) which premiered at IDFA's main competition.

The body of her work including features and shorts was celebrated at BAMPFA in a series of screenings and talks in September 2023.

She tutors and gives talks internationally while producing her films through Sakdoc Film, which she co-founded in 2008.
