Ahmet Gürata | Professor | Turkey

Ahmet Gürata is an academic and film producer presently teaching at Izmir University of Economics, Turkey. He published research on the history of Turkish cinema, reception, remakes and documentaries. His latest book is Imitation of Life: Cross-Cultural Reception and Remakes in Turkish Cinema (Editions Moustache, 2021).

He has curated several thematic programs for festivals. As a film critic, he writes and podcasts regularly for several publications and platforms.
