Jane Mote is an Editorial Consultant at The Whickers documentary film fund that supports and nurtures first-time directors from across the world.

She also mentors documentary makers at story labs including Docs By The Sea (Indonesia), MyDocs (Malaysia), TokyoDocs (Japan), AIDC (Australia) and Dhaka Doclab (Bangladesh).

She is a seasoned journalist and former head of BBC London, who worked in senior roles in television for decades, including as the UK MD for Al Gore’s documentary channel Current TV.

She is now the Director of Beechtobeach production company, where she recently produced and co-directed My Bones Are Woven, and she trains people to make professional films on their smartphones.
