Madeline Robert

Festival Programmer, VISIONS DU REEL, France


Madeline Robert has been working for Visions du Réel (CH) since 2014, as a member of the Selection Committee and special advisor to the Artistic Director and she took on the responsibility of VdR-Industry for the last two editions of the Festival. Also, during the last 12 years she has been an active producer with her company Les Films de la caravane (FR). Previously, and among others, she took part in founding the Doc Corner within the Cannes Festival Film Market and she is involved in the France-based SVOD platform Tënk since its creation. Madeline regularly serves as a tutor, member of funding commissions and juries dealing mainly with documentary films.

Visions du Réel, International Film Festival, Nyon (CH) is one of the leading non-fiction film festivals worldwide, presenting a variety of approaches throughout its programme. It includes several competitive sections –screening films in world, international or European premiere– as well as a few non-competitive and curated ones, for a total of around 170 features, medium length and short films. The VdR–Industry activities, which bring over 1’500 professionals to Switzerland, are dedicated to international projects at every stage, offering a wide range of opportunities, such as tutoring, co-production, funding and distribution.
