KriStine Ann Skaret is one of the founders and producers in the Norwegian production company Stray Dog Productions based in Oslo, Norway.

She also works as a dramaturg and consultant for Mid Nordic film center, guest-teacher at the Norwegian film school and tutor on documentary films for international workshops, previously for EDN, In-Docs and Ex-Oriente. She has a BA in Aesthetics from The University of Oslo, produced several award-winning films in Medieoperatørene from 2007 – 2012, and was a documentary film consultant for the Norwegian Film Institute from 2012 – 2016, where she supported films like ‘Nowhere to Hide’, ‘The Islamist’, ‘Golden Dawn Girls’ and ‘69 minutes of 87 days’.

Skaret has a strong interest in freedom of speech and human right issues, and has a big heart for stray dogs and hybrids of all kind.

Stray Dog Productions AS is owned by KriStine Ann Skaret and Sarah Winge-Sørensen. The company focuses on developing, producing and distributing director-driven feature films and creative documentaries. Films that inspire change, give voice to challenging views, take on life and culture, and provide upcoming filmmakers with experience and networks, allowing them to follow their visions and ideas.

The company also creates impact, audience engagement and distribution strategies for their films from early stages of production, and continuously promote documentary film as a vital and essential part of contemporary life.

Stray Dog was represented at IDFA 2017 with ‘Alleppos Fall’ by Nizam Najjar, in 2019 with the co-productions ‘Khartoum Offside’ by Marwa Zein Arbab, and ‘Aswang’ by Alyx Arupac, which won the Fipresci Award.
