PEI TIANYI - Producer, Phoenix TV, China

Mr. Pei worked for CCTV (China Central Television) after he graduated from college. He joined Phoenix Television eight years ago as a documentary director. Pei’s representative works include “My War” which focuses on the Korean war veterans and “The Death of YANG Hucheng” investigating the life of General YANG Hucheng who played a significant role in Xi'an Incident which changed the course of the Chinese history.
Mr. Pei is the Producer of "C'est La Vie", a weekly documentary programme of Phoenix Television. "C'est La Vie", launched in 2003, focuses on different livings of society, throwing light on marginalized groups, vulnerable groups, historical figures and controversial figures from all walks of life, including veterans, LGBT, pneumoconiosis patients, illegal immigrants, and sex workers.It has featured more than 1000 characters so far."C'est La Vie" has received national and international awards including the Silver Hugo Award for Documentary at the Chicago International Film Festival in 2007 and 2009.
