GARY BYUNG-SEOKKAM, Producer and Tutor, Korea

Gary Byung-Seok Kam, having worked at Munwha Broadcasting Corporation (MBC) as a TV director for a decade, is now one of the leading documentary producers in Korea. Being an independent filmmaker, Gary Kam has produced a number of award-winning documentaries in Korea as also worldwide. His recent filmography includes – “Planet of Snail” (Best Feature Doc award at IDFA 2011), “In the Absence” (Grand Jury Prize at the DOC NYC and Official Selection for IDFA 2018), “Breathing Underwater” (Jury’s Special award & CGV Arthouse Award at the Jeonju International Film Festival 2016).
Gary was also invited by the International Olympic Committee to produce “Crossing Beyond”, the Official Film for the 2018 Olympics. Currently, he actively works as creative producer and tutor. Now, he is in the process of producing “Shadow Flowers” (directed by Seung-jun Yi, in-production) and directing “On High Ice” (in-production).
