ERKKO LYYTINEN - Head of Documentary Programme, YLE, Finland

Erkko Lyytinen, 43, has a Master’s degree in Film and Media studies from the University of Fine Arts, Helsinki. He is currently working as a commissioning editor in YLE - The Finnish Broadcasting Company (Co-production department). He is focusing on domestic and international feature length documentary films. He is currently partly co-producing and programming for the feature documentary slot for YLE Channel TV-1. He has also produced several television series such as the award winning "Couch Surfers" and "The Marshall of Finland". Erkko also has a background of being a filmmaker and during 2008 – 2011 he acted as the Artistic Director of DocPoint - Helsinki Documentary Film Festival.
