RADA ŠEŠIĆ, Filmmaker / Tutor and Co-Head, Docu Rough Cut Boutique, Sarajevo

Rada Šešić had lived in Sarajevo, and worked as a film critic and a film maker. She now lives in The Netherlands, Utrecht. She is the program advisor of IFFR Rotterdam and a member of the HBFund Selection Committee. She has been a selection committee member of the IDFA, Amsterdam, a member of the IDFA Bertha Fund selection committee, Head of the Documentary Competition at Sarajevo FF and Co-Head of the Docu Rough Cut Boutique. She was also employed at the Master of the Dutch Film Academy, Amsterdam and previously taught at the University of Amsterdam in the Dept. of Film and Media Studies. She was the Artistic Director of the Eastern Neighbours FF in The Hague, and mentor at many documentary workshops around the world. She collaborated on the book “24 Frames” by Dina Iordanova, a book on Bhimal Roy, as well as on the “Aitken’s World Encyclopaedia of the Documentary Cinema”. Rada directed several documentaries in Bosnian production before the 1990s, and later went on to direct in The Netherlands as well with noted films as – “Room Without a View” (1997), “Soske” (2001), “In Whitest Solitude”,(2001), “Way to School”, (2007). Her films and video installations have been exhibited at more than 60 festivals, archived at MOMA – New York and won several awards. She also lived in India and guest-lectured at Srishti, Bangalore. As a film critic, Rada writes for several film magazines.
