SINAI Abt, KAN –PBC, ISRAEL
Sinai Abt is currently the Head of Documentary in the TV department of Kan – the Israeli Public Broadcasting Corp. He began his career as a copywriter at Fogel-Levin Advertising in Tel Aviv. In 1994 he moved to Israel Cable Programming company, where he served as a copywriter, and then became the Creative Director at the Movie Channel promo department. He came on board Channel 8 in 1997 as the Creative Director in the promo department, later becoming Program Manger. From 2001 until 2009 he was head of Channel 8. During his tenure he commissioned numerous award-winning productions including “Waltz with Bashir”, “Z32, Unmistaken Child”, “The Cemetery Club”, “Checkpoints”, “To see if I'm Smiling”, “Jerusalem is Proud to Present”, “My Terrorist” and many more. From 2011 until 2016, he served as the Artistic Directror of the Docaviv International Film Festival in Tel Aviv. In 2016, he was started his current position at the TV department of Kan.
