DONG KWAN KIM DONG KWAN KIM, KOREA EDUCATIONAL BROADCASTING SYSTEM, REPUBLIC OF KOREA

Dong Kwan Kim is the Head of Documentary Team for the Korea Educational Broadcasting System. From Jul 2014 - Dec 2016, he was the Head of Broadcasting Planning Team, prior to that from Jan 2013 - May2014, he had been the Head of Program Planning Team.He was also the Head of EBS International Documentary Festival (EIDF) from Jan 2012 - Dec 2012. He has been the Producer & Director for several documentaries including - “White-tailed Eagle”, “Men of Birds, of Prey”, Farewell to My Goshawk”, “Fjords and Rias” (Co-production with NRK, Norwegian Broadcaster), “Mom has Changed”, “Living with Strange Old Man”, “People of Wan-San Family”, “Resistance of Frank Schofield”, “Bhutanese Happiness-Teaching Education”, “The Last of Korean Empire”. Dong Kwan Kim was also Producer and Director of Children Programmes from Jan 1997 - Nov 2000, and Producer and Director of the Cultural and Educational programmes from Jun 1994 – Dec1996. He has received a number of awards and honours, including - Member of jury of Seoul Drama Awards (2016), Member of jury of Green Documentary of Korea (2016), Grand Prize of Vladivostok Documentary Festival of Men and Sea for the documentary “Fjords and Rias” (2011), Prize of Health and Welfare Media Award of for the documentary “Living with Strange Old Man” (2006), Program of the Year of EBS for the documentary “The Last of Korean Empire" (2001).
