Joan Leong is a seasoned media executive known for her expertise in producing high-quality entertainment and managing large-scale projects. Certified in Agile Foundation Course (NYT-AFC), she has led international teams on large-scale reality shows including the Emmy-winning The Amazing Race Australia, Season 1.

As Executive Producer and Director of The Kings, Joan successfully launched a docu-lifestyle that tells the love story and coming out of Angie King, a transgender and her wife, Joey Mead King. The show reached up to 2 million viewers and garnered positive social media engagement.

Joan made history as the first female Leica Akademie photography instructor in Singapore and shared her volunteer work in remembrance photography at TEDx Pickering Street in 2018. She recently served as a judge on the inaugural Voices for Change competition.

Southeast Asian Audio-Visual Association (SAAVA) is a non-profit organisation that seeks to unify media producers in the region.

The association's mission is to advance creative development across the region, promote Southeast Asian audio-visual content and capabilities internationally, as well as stimulate business collaborations between its members.

By strengthening regional alliances and partnerships between established film producers, as well as encouraging and mentoring new media professionals, SAAVA aims to help its members ride on the growth of the region and succeed in international markets.
