Shiladitya Bora | Founder | Producer, Distributor | Platoon One Films | India Shiladitya Bora is the Founder of Platoon One Films, India’s leading independent film studio.An alumnus of Berlinale Talents 2015, Shiladitya has been associated with all aspects of filmmaking from direction, production, commissioning to marketing, distribution, and monetisation of films for the past 15 years.

He started his career with PVR Cinemas, and has successfully released more than 125 independent films. In 2015, he joined Drishyam Films as their first CEO where he worked on globally acclaimed films such as Masaan, Newton and Dhanak. In 2017, at the peak of his career after delivering some of the best films to come out of Drishyam, he moved on to start his own venture Platoon One Films.

Platoon One Films is India’s leading independent film studio known for Yours Truly (Busan 2018), Picasso (winner, Indian National Award 2021), Ghaath (Berlinale 2023). The studio also distributed Sir (Cannes Critics Week 2018).

Platoon One’s upcoming film Bayaan, developed at LA Residency of Global Media Makers - Film Independent, also a winner of Hubert Bals Fund with India’s top talent Huma Qureshi as the lead cast is currently in post-production. Platoon One Films aims to produce genre-bending films and disruptive narratives that will redefine the boundaries of storytelling.
